I’ve always been someone who likes to know how things work and more importantly, how to make them work better. My career has been a bit of an evolution, moving from the world of telecom to software testing, then into the fast-paced lane of QA Automation and Data Analysis.

Senior QA Engineer

2023 - Present | Caliente Interactive

Sr. QA Engineer of scalable web and mobile applications for the biggest betting company in Mexico. Ensuring a seamless experience across Web, Android, and iOS platforms. Mix of hand-on manual testing with a push toward automation in order to take repetitive regression tests and turn them into automated scripts. Collaboration closely with Business Analysts to plan testing strategies and hunt down potential blockers before they could stall production. Help dev team on TS to find software misbehavior resolutions.

Software Testing Engineer

2022 - 2023 | EPAM Systems

Testing integration of E2E applications for pharmaceutical companies. Ensuring their B2B sales platform stayed reliable for the businesses that depend on it. Test cases design for both manual and automatic execution, ensuring we had good coverage. SQL checks to verify the data flow, provide direct support to the dev team, clarifying technical specs (TS) and take full ownership of the defect lifecycle.

QA Engineer

2020 - 2022 | Netcracker Technology

Manual testing for CRM BSS/OSS solutions. Working on projects for T-Mobile and TELUS. I was deep into their CRM platforms, manually testing features to make sure everything felt right for the end-user. Check SQL databases to verify that the data moving through the back-end actually matched what we were seeing on the screen.

Sr. Software Test Engineer

2018 - 2020 | Tech Mahindra

I was embedded in the world of Telecom operators, specifically focusing on their CRM and Pre-sale tools. I was responsible for taking business requirements and mapping them into logical test cases. I managed the execution flow through HP-ALM, ensuring that every regression and new feature test was tracked. I acted as a constant point of contact for the development team. I communicated them in a way that helped the devs understand defect details which made our fix-cycles much faster. It was all about ensuring that the software met the needs of the business operators on the ground.

Testing Engineer

2016 - 2018 | Ericsson Telecom

Working within an Agile framework. Feature checking and measuring performance and efficiency of the platforms we built. I began writing automation scripts using Robot Framework. I focused heavily on data verification and deep-dive log analysis, ensuring that the information flowing through the system was accurate and untampered. I managed my own users and modules across different environments, ensuring I had full control over the testing variables. I analyzed defects and proposed solutions directly to the development team. I was a regular in Go/No Go meetings, where I provided the data-backed green light (or red light) for platform releases based on regression and functional performance.

DIY Drumming pedal Restoration

Restoration of an old P3002-C double pedal by pearl. I disassembled the entire pedal, cleaned every part, replaced the worn out parts, painted the frame with vibrant colorsand reassembled the pedal.
